On October 29th, the first unit of Lidi Hydropower Station successfully completed a 72 hour trial operation and was officially handed over to the power plant for commercial operation. Since its first start-up on October 13th, the commissioning and operation status of the unit has been very stable, with excellent test data and detection indicators, achieving the goal of generating electricity for the first unit of the power station.
The Lidi Hydropower Station is located in Badi Township, Weixi County, Diqing Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is the third level hydropower station planned and developed in the cascade of the upper reaches of the Lancang River. The project started in April 2009; Experiencing work stoppage and construction delay; The first major river diversion on the Lancang River was completed in November 2014; In June 2017, the dam achieved full topping out; The third phase of construction was completed in May 2018; The first unit was put into operation for power generation in October 2018.
In the past decade of construction of this hydropower station, all builders have boldly explored and practiced around the purpose of "creating a construction general contracting brand and enhancing the company's ground engineering construction image", "creating a brand, setting records, and creating first-class", overcoming difficulties and challenges such as poor terrain and geological conditions, difficult engineering technology, and inconvenient external transportation, and continuously improving and enhancing their work. The performance of the engineering project has received unanimous praise from the owner, designer, supervisor, and local government, fully demonstrating the corporate brand image.
The first unit of the Lidi Hydropower Station has been put into operation, marking the addition of new momentum to the national "West East Power Transmission" project.
