During the use of frequency converters and speed controllers, they are often subjected to the impact of surge currents and surge voltages, which can seriously damage the performance and service life of the frequency converters and speed controllers. Therefore, an input reactor should be installed in front of them to suppress surge voltages and surge currents, protect the frequency converters and speed controllers, extend their service life, and prevent harmonic interference. At the same time, because frequency converters and speed controllers use frequency conversion for speed regulation, high-order harmonics and waveform distortion are often generated during speed regulation, which can affect the normal use of equipment. Therefore, an output reactor should be installed at the output end to filter out harmonic voltages and currents and improve the quality of the power grid.
